These futon mattresses meet the required flame retardant standards by law. The initial odor may be attributed to the cotton and flame retardant treatments, which is a common occurrence for brand-new items packaged in plastic bags and cardboard boxes. To address this, simply place the mattress near an open window for a few days, and the smell will dissipate.

Due to the oversized shipping boxes, the shipping rate for these mattresses is relatively high. To mitigate this, we have compressed the mattresses into smaller shipping boxes, which helps reduce the shipping cost for our customers. Upon opening the package, the mattress may appear slightly corrugated, resulting in a shorter width and length. However, this is normal, and the original shape will be restored by fully stretching and pulling out the ends of the mattress after a few uses.

The available sizes for these brand-new, USA-made futon mattresses are: 3 x 30 x 80 inches (twin), 3 x 54 x 80 inches (full), 3 x 60 x 80 inches (queen), and 3 x 72 x 80 inches (king). The mattress filling comprises 90% white cotton batting, 5% polyester fiber batting, and resilient foam.

For cleaning, we always recommend using a mattress cover sheet to protect the futon. Spot cleaning is advised, followed by airing the mattress under direct sunlight or near open windows for drying. These futon mattresses meet all the necessary flame retardant requirements set by the law.
